Devotionals

Week of July 6th

The Truth of Christ Reading
John 14:1-14

Devotional: Jesus declares Himself as "the way, the truth, and the life" in this passage. Reflect on what it means for Christ to be the exclusive path to salvation. How does this truth challenge or comfort you? Consider areas in your life where you may be seeking truth or meaning outside of Christ. Pray for a renewed commitment to follow Jesus as your ultimate source of truth and life.

New Creation in Christ
2 Corinthians 5:14-21

Devotional: Paul emphasizes that in Christ, we become a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come! Meditate on what it means to be made new in Christ. How has your life changed since coming to faith? Are there areas where you still cling to your "old self"? Ask God to help you fully embrace your new identity in Christ and to live it out daily.

Putting Off the Old, Putting On the New
Ephesians 4:17-24

Devotional: This passage contrasts our old way of life with the new life we have in Christ. Reflect on specific behaviors or attitudes that characterize your "old self" versus your "new self." What does it look like practically to "put off" the old and "put on" the new? Pray for the Holy Spirit's power to transform your mind and actions to align more closely with Christ's character.

Pursuing Holiness
1 Peter 1:13-16

Devotional: Peter calls believers to be holy as God is holy. Consider what holiness means in your daily life. How can you cultivate a mindset focused on God's grace and the hope we have in Christ? Identify one area where you can pursue greater holiness today. Ask God for the strength and wisdom to live a life that reflects His character.

Living in Christian Community
 Hebrews 10:19-25

Devotional: This passage emphasizes the importance of Christian fellowship and encouragement. Reflect on your current involvement in Christian community. How can you deepen your connections with other believers? Consider reaching out to someone you don't know well in your church this week. Pray for opportunities to both give and receive encouragement in your faith journey.
